Finally bought a scanner!  (Epson Perfection V600) It does wonders for artwork, with great image quality and perks like having bigger images stitched together by the software (you scan the two sides and the middle of the image and let the software do the rest. There were some edges in the white afterwards but I could easily remove them in photoshop). The lid of the scanner also lifts so you can scan thicker paper and even canvas. 

There is quite a difference between taking a picture and scanning

Also found a great print shop (printenbind.nl) and have some cards ready for sale =)

Triple update to make up for the long absence!

I tried to make a comic about the traumatic experience of thesis writing ;)
My computer was unavailable so I decided to do this the old-fashioned way, which took way longer than I expected.. I went through two audiobooks whilst drawing.

For the drawings I used a mix of Inktense pencils, COPIC Ciao markers and Faber-Castell pens for the black outline.

Disclaimer: No animals were harmed at any point

Quite busy this week, so here is a book cover I designed for a course in September 2013.
Diese Woche bin ich sehr beschäftigt, deshalb teile ich diesmal einen Buchumschlag den ich 2013 gestaltet habe.

Original title:  吾輩は猫である, Wagahai wa Neko de aru

The course instructions were to use only typography, no pictures. We could choose any book we like.
Die Aufgabe bestand darin nur Typografie zu gebrauchen, keine Bilder. Die Auswahl des Buches war uns selbst überlassen.
